Tamara Atkins is recognized by the International Coaching Federation (ICF) as a Professionally Certified Coach (PCC) and has over 40 years of experience in the talent development area, both within and outside of organizations.
She has worked in a wide range of industries – broader energy, technology, healthcare, consumer goods, financial services, oil and gas, retail, and services companies. She has a business degree from Texas A&M University and a Masters in Organizational Management.
Tamara’s coaching style is based on actual business experience and honest, direct communication with clients. She also coaches from a place of compassion, curiosity, courage, and connectedness. At the end of the day, it is about achieving your goals.
✓ Those certified by the ICF have been thorough rigorous testing to stand up to a specific set of competencies (for PCC – 125 hours of specific training, 10 hours of mentor coaching, at least 500 hours of coaching experience with at least 25 clients, two audio recordings, completion of a test.)
✓ ICF requires ongoing development of each coach to ensure that even after passing the appropriate measures (listed above) that they keep growing and developing (I must complete 40 hours every three years to maintain my PCC).
✓ ICF has a specific Code of Ethics that provides appropriate guidelines, accountability, and enforceable standards for conduct.
